. Armagh City Walks

The following walks are based on our own experience when walking the countryside last year. Paul would have walked on his own, I would have walked with both girls in the double pram. Time guidelines are obviously influenced by this. So if you are an experienced walker, you might want to take some time of the guideline.

Tips: Although the descriptions should keep you on the right track, we would recommend that you buy the Ordnance Survey of Norther Ireland Map of Armagh City. On the back of the city map is a district road map, which will help you setting out outside of the city. These are the maps we used to make descriptions. I bought ours in the Armagh Tourst Office for GBP 5.40.

When there is no sidewalk, walk on right side of the road, against traffic. This way you can see uncoming traffic and vise versa. Change sides at tight corners. Even when there is plenty of space on the road, stop and/or step onto the shoulder to let other road users know you have seen them.

Take your own food and drink, because there or hardly any shops or pubs etc along the way.

Bring your raincoat and enjoy the scenery whatever the weather!
