Friday night at about half six the first one arrived, and Sunday late afternoon the last one left. Saturday we played from about 11am until midnight. Great stuff! Probably another 'festival' in March 2002.

The same trio with on the left Raphael de Cock. The big picture on the wall is a photograph I took from Néillidh Mulligan's Brogan set. My wife had it enlarged and give it to me as a present. This is it's second frame: I broke the first one (the glass) because I got stuck behind it with my bellows when walking by (no, it didn't hang on the wall back then...)

And there's Swier Oosterhuis on the right, all the way from Texel on his motorbike.

Never satisfied without actually learning something, all the attention is for Martin playing Miss Monaghan, if I recall correctly.

Folkert and Wietske Leenders in our study/guest-bedroom, practising the previously recorded tune from Martin. Wietske also is from Amsterdam and brought two delicious apple pies.

And there's two more guests: Marc van Daal and Rick Freen. Marc van Daal is the one and only Dutch uilleann pipes maker (and very good at it) and Rick's another piper from Amsterdam. As far as we know Wietske, Rick and myself are the only three active uilleann pipers in Amsterdam. Please let me know when you know of another one!

We even had a real audience on Saturday: Wammes and Lies (thanks for the soup and wine!), on the couch on the left. They don't play the pipes, but enjoyed themselves listening for a substantial amount of time.
The piper on the wall is Felix Doran, a print by Brian Vallely.

A nice collection: Swier's Eugene Lamb set, Raphael's Arie de Keyser set and in the middle my Kevin Thompson set (with Marc van Daal chanter because I wrecked the reed in my other chanter some time ago).

And finally, on Sunday morning (around noon) ... they just can't get enough....
