Paintings and prints by Brian Vallely
In the Hammersmith Irish Centre, also venue of the weekly gathering of the London pipers, on 6 March an exhibition of paintings and prints by John B. Vallely was opened. John B. Vallely is probably better known to pipers as Brian Vallely, who founded together with his wife Eithne the Armagh Pipers Club. Together they are a driving force behind the Armagh music scene and the William Kennedy Piping Festival. For more information about Brian's paintings visit his website. The exhibition in the Hammersmith Irish Centre, Hammersmith, London will last until 28 March. Taken from the Irish Centre's February-March programme:
Possibly now recognised as 'Ireland's greatest living painter' John B. Vallely will exhibit a set of limited edition prints and a number of original paintings, which have been especially selected for this one-off London show. This extremely rare display of his work bears testament to the painter's passion for Irish traditional music and Irish sports. It is out of great honour and reverence that the Irish Centre present the works of this major Irish genius. Presented in association with Moving Arts.
