Cobblestone gigs
at the Hammersmith Irish Center.
The first two weeks of March 2002 I spent in London again, working on a project. I went to another couple of sessions AND to the weekly meeting of the London Pipers Club. It was nice to be there again, to see familiar (well, I've been there once before) and new faces. I met Liam Hackett by chance, he had travelled down from Scotland to spend St.Patrick's Day in London and he'd taken with him his Richard O'Mealy full set (without the chanter).
This is the second O'Mealy set I've seen, but the first one 'in real life'. The other one is the Ulster Museum set, temporarily on display in the Armagh County Museum. So, I was very pleased to see a set in working order, hear it and TOUCH it!
